Fairly Payroll for Temps Shifts (Employee Pay)
If you work a Fairly Payroll for Temps shift, you are treated as an employee for that shift.

Applicable payroll taxes and statutory deductions are handled automatically

You will receive a T4 at year end

A Record of Employment (ROE) will be issued 30 days after your shift ends
- Fairly Staffing does not provide tax advice
These shifts are clearly marked in the app, and you’ll be guided through any required onboarding before applying.
Fairly Payroll is designed to support CRA requirements, which generally require temps to be treated as employees.
Non-Payroll Shifts (Contractor Pay)
If you are paid through Fairly Payments or directly by a clinic outside of Fairly Payroll, you are fully and solely responsible for:

Tracking

Reporting
-
Remitting
Any and all taxes related to your earnings, as applicable.
When Fairly Payroll is not used, Fairly Staffing does not determine your employment status (employee or contractor), and does not withhold or remit taxes on your behalf.
The nature of your working relationship is strictly between you and the clinic.
Tax Information for Contractors
If you are paid as an independent contractor, whether by Fairly Payments or directly by a clinic:

You are responsible for ensuring your own tax compliance

Fairly Staffing does not issue tax slips

Fairly Staffing does not provide tax advice

Fairly Staffing assumes no responsibility or liability for tax consequences, reporting errors, or non-compliance
