How do I use Surge Pay to fill urgent shifts?

Fairly Staffing allows you to use Surge Pay to instantly boost the visibility of your urgent or hard-to-fill shifts by offering a premium hourly rate to our temp network.
Understanding Surge Pay
When you enable Surge Pay on a shift, it is prominently highlighted with a special badge in the temp app. We also instantly notify local, available professionals via text, email, and push notifications to drive immediate traffic to your shift.
There is a flat $10.00 fee to use Surge Pay, but you are only charged if the shift is successfully completed. If nobody picks it up, it costs you nothing.
Enabling Surge Pay on a New Shift
To add Surge Pay when posting a new shift:
- Begin creating a shift as you normally would
- Scroll down to the "Surge Pay" section and toggle it On
- Enter your desired Surge Pay Rate Range
- Ensure this range is noticeably higher than standard rates to properly incentivize temps to apply immediately
- Click "Create Shift"
Once a shift is posted with Surge Pay enabled, the feature cannot be turned off. If you change your mind, you must delete the shift and repost it without Surge Pay.
Adding Surge Pay to an Existing Shift
If an upcoming shift is struggling to get applicants, you can add Surge Pay at any time to boost its visibility.
- Navigate to your shift
- Click "Edit"
- Toggle on "Surge Pay" and set your premium rate range
- Click "Save Changes" to instantly notify temps of the new rate
