Before you begin
Make sure to have the following with you before you begin the process of setting up Fairly Payments:
- Identity documents such as your Driver's Licence or Passport
- Your banking information:
- Transit Number
- Institution Number
- Account Number
To find and book shifts on our platform, you’ll need to set up Fairly Payments. This article explains why Fairly Payments is required, highlights the benefits of using Fairly Payments, and outlines the security measures in place to keep your information safe.
Verifying with Stripe
Stripe verification occurs in 5 steps:
- Choose your business type
- Enter your personal details
- Verify your identity documents
- Add business details
- Add bank details
You can click "Help" at the top right of the screen while setting up Fairly Payments for in-app instructions covering the below steps.

Business Type
- Select "Individual or Sole Proprietorship" as your type of business.
If you have a registered corporation, you may select "Company" as your business type
If you accidentally select the wrong business type (for example, Company or Non-profit), please email us at temps@fairlystaffing.com. We’ll work with Stripe to update your business type.
Please note that this process may take up to 5 business days, and your account will be placed on hold until the update is complete.
Personal Details
- Enter your legal name
- Enter the email used to create your Fairly Staffing account
- Enter your date of birth
- Enter your role on Fairly Staffing as your job title
- Registered Dental Hygienist
- Registered Dental Assistant
- Sterilization Technician
- Dental Administrator
- Enter your home address
- Enter your phone number
Identity Document Verification
Stripe requires you to take a photo of a valid identity document such as your Driver's Licence or Passport. This requires giving Fairly Staffing temporary camera access. Here are some tips to successfully upload a photo:
- Ensure a neutral background
- Minimize glare on the identity document
- Center the identity document in the box on the screen
If you experience issues with the identity document verification process—especially with your camera or taking a photo of your document—follow these steps to get help from Stripe:
- Click here to reach out to Stripe support
- On the right side of the screen, click "Contact support"
- Request to speak with an agent
- Briefly explain your issue (for example, "I'm having trouble taking a photo of my ID")
- Choose your preferred support method
Stripe usually responds in under 5 minutes, so you should be able to get help quickly!
Business Details
- Choose "Dentists and Orthodontists" as your industry. Stripe has a search feature to quickly find and select this option
- Enter a link to a social media account as your website. It must be a full link, such as:
- https://www.facebook,com/jane-smith
- If you don't have a social media website, you can use https://fairlystaffing.com/

Congratulations! You're one step closer to booking your first shift on Fairly Staffing!
When Fairly Payments is used, your fee is deposited instantly into your in-app Fairly Wallet. From there, you can initiate a payout, and your funds will arrive in your bank account within 1 to 3 business days, depending on your bank's processing times.

Whether you are paid through Fairly Payments or directly by a clinic, you are fully and solely responsible for tracking, reporting, and remitting any and all taxes related to your earnings, as applicable. Fairly Staffing does not determine your employment status (employee or contractor), and we do not withhold or remit taxes on your behalf. The nature of your working relationship is strictly between you and the clinic.
