How do I use Timesheets?

How to use Timesheets

Timesheets let you track time and attendance for team members by viewing their check-ins, check-outs, and unpaid break times within each pay period. This gives you clear visibility into worked hours and supports accurate payroll.

To use Timesheets, your clinic must be:

  • Using Fairly Payroll for Teams

  • On the Grow or Scale subscription tier

Viewing Timesheets

To view timesheets:

  • Select the team member from the dropdown

  • View their check-ins, check-outs, and unpaid break times for the current pay period

Each time entry shows when the employee checked in and out for the day, along with any unpaid break time.

Editing Time Entries

Clinics can adjust time entries as needed.

  • Edit existing check-in or check-out times

  • Add time entries if a team member did not check in or out correctly

  • Add or adjust unpaid break time

Any changes you make are automatically reflected in the payroll system.

Viewing Historical Timesheets

Once a pay period is complete:

  • You can access (but not edit) historical timesheets for each team member

  • Past pay periods remain available for reference and review

Time Entry Notes

If a team member adds a note to a specific day’s time entry:

  • The note will appear directly in the timesheet

  • This can be used to explain adjustments, late check-ins, or special circumstances

Overtime Indicators

Timesheets automatically tracks and flags overtime:

  • Daily overtime

  • Weekly overtime

Overtime hours are automatically included in payroll calculations.
