How do I use Temp Radar (clinic)?

Using Temp Radar to speak with Available Temps as soon as you post a shift

What Is Temp Radar?

Temp Radar lets clinics proactively reach out to Available Temps as soon as a shift is posted. Instead of waiting for applications, Temp Radar helps you start conversations with nearby temps who are open to being contacted—so you can fill shifts faster and with more flexibility.

Temp Radar is available on the Grow and Scale subscription tiers.

Getting Access to Temp Radar

To use Temp Radar, your clinic must be on the Grow or Scale tier.

To upgrade your subscription:

  • Click "Settings"

  • Click "Subscriptions"

  • Select "Grow" or "Scale"

Your access to Temp Radar is available immediately after upgrading.

Temp Radar works per shift. Each time you post a shift, you’ll see a new, random selection of Available Temps in your area.

How Temp Radar Works

Once you post a shift:

  • Grow clinics can reach out to 3 Available Temps

  • Scale clinics can reach out to 10 Available Temps

  • Temps shown are a random selection in your area for that specific shift

To start a conversation, you must send a Message Request. The temp must accept the request before you can chat directly.

Sending Message Requests

After posting a shift:

  • Select a temp from the Available Temps list

  • Send a Message Request

You won’t be able to message the temp unless they accept the request.

Temps always control whether they accept or reject a Message Request. Message Requests are automatically declined if they are not accepted by the temp within 24 hours.

Unlocking More Temps

If all your Message Requests are rejected or you need access to more Available Temps:

  • You can unlock 5 additional Available Temps at a time

  • Each unlock costs $9

If fewer than 5 temps are available, the cost is still $9.

You can repeat this process as needed until the shift is filled or there are no more Available Temps in the area.

Coordinating Details in Chat

Once a temp accepts your Message Request, you can:

  • Discuss shift details directly in chat

  • Agree on updated start and/or end times

  • Edit the shift start time and/or end time directly from the chat

Any agreed-upon time changes are reflected on the shift.

Hiring From the Chat

After chatting:

  • The temp can apply for the shift directly from the chat

  • You can hire the temp straight from the conversation once they apply

This allows you to go from first contact to hire without leaving the chat.

When Temp Radar Is Most Helpful

Temp Radar is especially useful when you:

  • Need to fill shifts quickly

  • Want to reduce back-and-forth applications

  • Are open to flexible timing or rates

  • Prefer proactive outreach over waiting for applicants
