What is in-app chat?
In-app chat lets you message a clinic that has hired you for a shift. Use it to ask about parking, where to enter, who to ask for, or anything else you need before you arrive.
Chat is organized around each shift. Every shift you are hired for has its own chat, so your messages stay tied to the right date and clinic.
How chat works
- Chat turns on only after you are hired for a shift.
- You get a notification on your phone when the clinic sends a message.
- A notification icon shows on the chat icon when you have unread messages.
- You also get an email when a new chat is started.
- Chat closes when you check out and the shift ends.
Chat only starts after a clinic hires you. Before that, there is no chat. If you want clinics to reach out about open shifts, turn on Temp Radar.
How to open a chat
- Tap the chat icon at the top right of the app.
- Open the chat for your shift.
- Type your message and send.

- Chat is for talking with a clinic after you are hired for a shift.
- Temp Radar lets clinics reach out to you about open shifts as soon as they post them.
