How do I turn geofencing on or off?

Geofencing helps ensure accurate check-ins by requiring staff to be physically near your clinic when checking in for a shift. When enabled, check-in is only allowed within a defined radius of your clinic.

Turning Geofencing On or Off

You can enable or disable Geofencing at any time.

• Click "Settings"

• Click "Geofencing"

• Click "On" or "Off" for Temp Check In or Team Check In

Changes take effect immediately.

Requirements

Geofencing availability depends on how check-in is being used.

For Team Check In

• Your clinic must be using Fairly Payroll for Teams

For Temp Check In

• Your clinic must be on the Scale subscription tier

How Geofencing Works

When Geofencing is turned on:

• Temps and team members must be within 20 meters of the clinic to check in

• Check-in is blocked if they are outside the allowed range

This helps prevent early, late, or off-site check-ins.
