Code of Conduct
Upholding trust and professionalism in every shift
Welcome to Fairly Staffing! We're thrilled to have you join our community of dental professionals. Our goal is to help you grow your career in the dental field, and we’re glad to have you with us.
Temping with Fairly Staffing brings certain responsibilities, particularly around honoring your commitments to work shifts. Canceling or failing to show up without prior notice not only disrupts clinic operations but also affects your professional reputation and our platform's reliability.
Our Code of Conduct centers around two key principles: Commitment and Professional Standards:
- Honor your commitments by reliably attending shifts, and
- Always conduct yourself with professionalism to maintain the trust and respect of clinics and colleagues.
We reserve the right to suspend your account at our sole discretion based on your reliability and adherence to this Code of Conduct.
To ensure clear expectations, we ask all temps to agree to the following:
Commitment
- If you apply for a shift and are hired, we expect your commitment to work that shift. We encourage clinics to make hiring decisions quickly so you won’t be left waiting or wondering about your status for a shift.
- Only apply for shifts that you are confident you can commit to. Taking on shifts and cancelling later damages trust and affects future opportunities.
- Cancellations should be kept to a minimum to maintain trust and reliability.
- We understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to cancel a shift, which you can do through the app, please do so as early as possible to give the clinic time to find a replacement. Whenever possible, also use our in-app chat before cancelling to notify the clinic directly—this courtesy will increase your chances of being welcomed back in the future.
- For all cancellations, you must provide notice and a valid reason in the app. If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours' notice (“Short-Notice Cancellation”), the reason must be compelling. While we understand that emergencies occur, Short-Notice Cancellations should be limited to truly unavoidable situations. We may require supporting documentation, such as a doctor's note, when you Short-Notice Cancel a shift. If we decide that you have an unreliable track record, we may suspend your account for a period of time or indefinitely at our sole discretion.
- Failing to show up for a shift without notice will result in being marked as a "No-Show." Unless there is an exceptional reason (e.g., a car accident), a No-Show will result in immediate suspension from our platform, and it will be your responsibility to provide us with justification for reversing the suspension, which we may or may not do at our sole discretion. No-Shows severely disrupt clinic operations and compromise the trust that clinics place in Fairly Staffing.
- All cancellations (along with cancellation reasons) and No-Shows are permanently recorded in your profile and can be viewed by clinics.
Professional Standards
- We want you to succeed and grow as a professional while temping with us. As we expand, we will introduce more initiatives to support your skills and career development.
- Please arrive on time and ready for your shift.
- Approach each shift with a positive and cooperative attitude. Clinics value temps who are adaptable and eager to contribute to the team's success.
- Always dress appropriately with clean and neat scrubs. A neat and professional appearance helps make a positive impression and reflects well on both you and Fairly Staffing.
- Seek feedback from clinics on your performance and look for opportunities to improve your skills. We will be providing resources to support your growth, and being proactive about improvement will set you apart.
- Always treat clinic staff, patients, and fellow temps with respect. Maintaining a respectful and courteous demeanor is essential for a positive work environment.
- After each shift, both you and the clinic have the opportunity to leave feedback for each other. Feedback is a vital part of maintaining a high-quality community, so please be honest, professional, and courteous—even when providing constructive feedback.
To understand how feedback is collected, how it may be used to assess reliability, and how individual ratings and reviews remain strictly confidential, please review our Feedback Policy.
By following this Code of Conduct, you're helping ensure that Fairly Staffing remains a trusted, reliable, and respectful platform for everyone involved—temps and clinics alike. Your professionalism directly shapes the experiences of patients, colleagues, and dental teams across the network. We appreciate your commitment to upholding these standards and look forward to supporting you as you grow your career. If you have any questions or need clarification, our team is always here to help.
